On a Euro trip two summers ago, I drove through Valencia to drop off a friend who lived close by and also happened to be holidaying with some friends and me at World Wide in the South of France. He said it was basically imperative that we visit the City of Arts and Sciences whilst we were there.
Boy, I'm glad we did.
The thing about Calatrava is that he's not just a genius with reputable style, he's a game changer. The space that his collection of buildings occupy, is very impressive and well used. Typically, a master plan can be tedious, annoying and boring. This was neither. The whole complex was positively, beauty to my eyes. You know when something is wonderful, when it's impossible to take a bad photo. All of the angles, all of the built complexity, makes this beautiful.
