Dragons Back

What? One of the most famous hikes in Hong Kong, Dragons Back gets its name from the ups and downs in the hills you walk along.

How to get there, Take the MTR to Shau Kei Wan station, exit A3 and then jump on bus 9 towards Tei Wan, along Shek O Road. You'll exit the bus when everyone else does, it's such a popular Hike you wont miss it!

Why go? It's a relatively easy hike, the initial 200 or so steps at the beginning is probably as bad as it's going to get. The rest of the hike is pleasurable, with some truly gorgeous views (see below) and it's reasonably shaded. Of course, on the weekend it's a little busy, and if you want to reach the pot of gold at the end of the hike (Big Wave Beach) you should head off a little earlier.

Sorry, by the end of the hike and the promise of beers, I totally forgot to take a photo of the beach. Here is one I found on the internet instead.
